CHEYENNE – Sophomore guard Xavier McCord scored 39 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to help the Laramie County Community College men’s basketball team to a 91-81 overtime victory against visiting Central Wyoming on Saturday.
“We just started to execute and we had the best player on the floor,” Golden Eagles coach DeWayne Saulsberry said. “(Central Wyoming) couldn’t guard him. He did just about everything. He was able to go downhill on those guys, and they couldn’t stay in front of him.”
McCord also blocked three shots and shot 14 of 20 from the floor.
LCCC (12-9) also got 20 points and five rebounds from Jaedon Bradley, while Max Reyes chipped in with nine points and seven boards. Nolan Causwell grabbed 10 rebounds to go with eight points.
